been rushing around today..
went bowen secondary to buy uniforms and books for my brother...
the school kind of big lor..
bigger than hougang and SR ba..
then to school to test out our design...
scouts wanted to combine parts of the orientation...
after me and yun much consideration, we decline..
if combine, they will do the gateway, we will do gadgets...
but my girls want to do gateway...
it will serve as a training for our unit campfire as well..
yan lin they all did confess that did complain coz they never do gateway before, scared cannot do...
but after their first tripod manage to stand, they now so enthu in doing the structure..
i dont expect much from wat we are going to do coz it's the first structure that they have ever done..
the point is im proud of them..they didnt give up!
i sat down with them to discuss, how to design it, how to improve, blah blah...
ideas may not be fantastic like what scouts and npcc may have, at least they try:D
better than those who decided that doing gateway is so troublesome and give up...
if you are willing to work hard, im willing to accompany you girls and work together...
To me:
yanlin deserved her position in guides, from sec 2 to 3... we chose to make her the PL ever since she's sec 2... even though she do have lots of bad habits... she a bit noisy lah, ideas sometimes a bit off but the correct attitude is there all along. there's a big change in her from sec1 to sec2... She noe when to play at the correct time... She just lack of that confidence in leading ppl.. her patrol is one of the most united one...
vanessa was chosen to be CL, coz we believed that her attitude towards guides is one of the better ones.. She did shine at times, showing leadership and her skills and knowledge.. she a bit blur lah, i think more blur than me... haha.. but we wouldnt promote her, if she dont have the qualities as leader.. just that she didnt know how to make use of all of them... my job is to polish her up:)
Qi yin do show results for her skills in cooking and gadgets often.. THERE'S NTH TO DO WITH HER BROTHER. Her exposure towards camp craft may be one of the better ones... Cooking the best ba? successor of sheena gan. haha. she lack of confidence in leadership, often being quiet... but behind this quietness, she willing to work and help
yun wen another quiet one.. more quiet than the rest, maybe outside she will be noisy... good friends with yanlin... she do have skills and knowledge that you wouldnt expect fromher... she also capable but lack of chances and confidence to show them..
yuan yiing the youngest.. sec one only.. she very ethu in most activties... her thinking is daring, which makes everyone surprise- gua mu xiang kan... but she learnt the bad habitats from yanlin ( who insist not.) she learnt the knots fast, eg: tripod de lash.. the seniosrs do it twice and he could remember:)
these are the fews who came back this afternoon, willing to try...
if they dare to try, dare to risk, spend time, why would a leader stop them from exceeding their potential. following rules are right, yet overcoming these and strive a better achievement would be a better bet.. im willing to take the bet, regardless they fail or not...
